Dresses aren't just for the frivolous. In fact, the older I get the more I love them. Also, I make no apologies for my love of fashion. I love to dress up and be tailored and structured, but I love being glam as well. Do I wear sequins to the grocery store? Yes, yes I do. Have I been to the school playground in metallics and fur? Why yes! And December, especially, is THE month to go all out. Even more so when there's a pandemic, because sometimes it's the little things to keep our spirits up when there's so much uncertain. This month, this is where you can have fun with fashion, even if you're having fun within your own home. Here are my absolute favorite dresses from our designers this season, wear them styled to the nines, or barefoot while popping leftovers in the microwave:
I mean how can you not love this. Between the neckline and the gorgeous powder blue, It's too good to not be worn.
The print alone of this dress is an instant mood booster, and can easily be dressed up or down. I'm wearing with belted with tall boots for winter, and can't wait to wear this with sandals for spring and summer.
Who doesn't love a short dress? It's a versatile dress to wear with a tall OTK boot underneath or even a flat, and with the metallic detail you could cinch the waist with our Loeffler Randall metallic belt and be pulled together for your day of drinks with the girls to that last grocery store run before the holidays.
Who doesn't love a knit dress? The cutout detail is a major design obsession and this would be so pretty with a flat or with a heel. And don't dismiss the grey - navy, burgundy, or even tonal hues to complete this look will complete the chic factor.
I love so many things about this dress, but the versatility of wearing this modern sweater dress with sneakers or a heel sells me. The metallic within the print keeps it fun and seasonless.
