Travel packing seems so weird and foreign once you've been out fo the travel loop for as long as we have. This week I am taking my daughter and friend to Puerto Rico for a fun and safe trip to celebrate their senior year. But I have to admit how rusty I am in packing! Yes, the woman who would fly to NYC once a month for work has to really think about how to pack all over again.
I do have some tips I use to pack which make it so easy and takes out all the stress:
1. If you're tight on luggage, pick one neutral to anchor your looks with for a versatile capsule travel wardrobe. In my instance, I always choose black, so my outfits coordinate around that one color for more outfit options.
2. Shoes and clutches can hold so much. I put all my socks in my trainers and I put any glassware or tiny objects in my clutches.
3. Always pack one extra look. It's inevitable that you'll still or spill something or you'll add an extra event to your travel itinerary. This saves you time of shopping under stress and purchasing something on your travel you'll likely never wear again.
Here's what I am wearing for the week:
Aje L'Espirit Dress in Samba
Maria Farro Aelia Sandals in Black
Rejina Pyo Sonny Bag
